Along the Byway travelers will see the many amazing views of nature and visit the manmade sites. The Byway was developed with 5 themes: 
         Wetlands; Birds & Wildlife; Geology;
                 Weather; Movement & Man.
It wanders from just west of Hoisington to north of St John, passing through the Cheyenne Bottoms State Wildlife Area and the Quivira National Wildlife  Refuge, both Ramsar sites. The 7 Byway Communities welcome visitors with unique opportunities to explore and enjoy. Be sure to stop in Hoisington,
Claflin, Ellinwood, Great Bend, Hudson, St John, and Stafford.
